Phonics Review
Before our 'break', we had just wrapped up a unit on tapping to read and tapping to write 5-sound words. These are primarily words with a consonant blend at the beginning and a consonant blend at the end with one short vowel in the middle. One example is the word: crisp.
We also practiced words that have a digraph blend or a glued sound blend for example: bunch or cramp.
The first image below is a list of some words you could dictate to your child for them to spell on paper or a white board. Chalk or letter magnets would work great, too!
The subsequent photos are examples of how we would mark these
words up in our writing.
